Mah Boon Krong (MBK)

How to get there:

Take BTS to Siam station. From there, either change lines towards National Stadium and alight there (connection to MBK is just a short walk away), or alight at Siam station and take the 5-10 minutes’ walk to MBK.
Description:
- 8 stories of great shopping; wide variety of F&B available at The Fifth food avenue on L5; The Images zone on L3 has many little stalls where one can bargain prices down with the shopkeepers

CentralWorld (Central World Plaza)

How to get there:

Take BTS to Chit Lom station. The connection to CentralWorld is just a short walk away. Alternatively, CentralWorld is also a short walk away from Central Chidlom and Siam Paragon shopping complexes.


Description:
- Visited 28th July 2008
- Very large shopping complex; has two major department stores, Zen and Isetan, at opposite ends; include stores like MNG and Zara; F&B also available at upper levels (stores for quick bites include Auntie Annie’s [pretzels], donut stores and some Japanese cuisine restaurants)

Central Chidlom

How to get there:

Take BTS to Chit Lom station (some people call it Chidlom). The connection to Central Chidlom L3 is a short walk away.


Description:
- Visited 29th July 2008
- L3 Events Hall is where sales are held; there is a clearance sale from 24th July to 3rd August with items going from 50-90% off.

Amarin Plaza

How to get there:

Take BTS to Chit Lom station (one station before Siam on the Mo Chit line). The connection to Amarin Plaza L2 is a short walk away.

Description:
- Visited on the 29th July 2008
- L2 has many tailors to choose from; Pamela Thai Silk seems like a good place, 3rd shop from the entrance nearest to BTS station (enter from L2)
